Good start! Need to do additional research to help inform changes 🙂
I have decided to use this picture. I was trying to get another picture I was more familiar with but its name eluded me, and I was pressed for time. I chose this picture, I believe I can do a few things to it, and it should be easy for me to manipulate with such a wide shot.

Starry Night
Vincent van Goh
1889
“The painting depicts the view outside his sanitorium room window at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (located in southern France) at night, although it was painted from memory during the day.”-Wiki
For Starry Night, I wanted to take either aliens or godzilla/dinosaur implemented into the picture. Niel voted for godzilla/dinosaur as aliens are already used in some examples from earliers presentation and that most likely, people wont think of a godzilla inside this painting. I picked Starry Night because it’s a painting of Van Goh’s that I’ve liked since I was in 2nd grade. I still enjoy looking at it.
From Rizz:
Hey Brianna! I think this is a great place to start!  So some things to think about 🙂  Since you’ll be making a narrative of your own, what I would concentration on first (when you start on your final version) is to make a collage to airbrush after later.  It may be easier for you to reconstruct the whole painting, then try and paint over what is already there.  What do you think?  EXCITED to see what you come up with 🙂
GOOD LUCK!

Great start! Ideas are a stirrin’ 🙂
Albrecht Durer
1500
This is one of Durer’s most popular self portraits. He is emulated a pose with his hand almost in the position of giving a blessing and made with a similarity to Christ.
Â
I think maybe I could try to change his hand into a making a peace sign, perhaps give him modern clothes, or maybe have him appear to be making a current self portrait via cell phone and mirror! Silly possibilities.

Plan : Well… with religion being such a touchy subject and I don’t want to offend anyone with my idea.  So, I will discuss my idea with the teacher privately.
Option 2
Artist : Â Edward Hooper

Year : 1942
History : Nighthawks is a 1942 painting by Edward Hopper that portrays people sitting in a downtown diner late at night. It is Hopper’s most famous work and is one of the most recognizable paintings in American art.
